1989-1991
1992
- Songs are recorded as Mudboy...these songs are pretty bad.
- Squelch is formed.
- First banjo is destroyed while "trying to straighten neck."
- Second banjo is bought.
1993
- Squelch tours North Carolina.
- Fostex X-15 4-track is purchased.
1994
- Paul and Kathleen move to North Carolina.
- First Alger Hiss tape (This Tape has Cooties) is released.
1995
- Second Alger Hiss tape (I Love You Therefore I'll Give You Some Walnuts) is released.
- When driving to work, Paul sees a license plate that says SNKCHRMR. It is misread and a bandname is born.
1996-1998
- Paul and Kathleen move to Somerville, MA.
- Sinkcharmer appears on the As Seen on TV Spare Me Records comp.
- The Old Man Doesn't Like It is released on Spare Me.
1999
2000
- Breaking the Slide Rule is released on Unstoppable Records.
- World doesn't end. Paul vows to "take it seriously."
- Sinkcharmer plays first official show on 12/13/2000 at TT the Bear's place in Cambridge, MA.
- 16-track is purchased.
2001
- Stars in Winter is recorded, mixed and mastered, but not released.
- World does end. Paul vows to "take it seriously."
- Sinkcharmer (made up of now steady members: Jen, Jef, Paul) plays 7 shows, 2 of which were in one day.
- Musical dry spell begins after September 11th.
2002
- Stars in Winter is released on October 1st.
- Inklings of new songs started. To be realized in the new year.
- Low Self Noise reconstruction hijacks any quality band time. Studio will figure prominently in the future.
- Sinkcharmer embarks on another 3 date "tour" in November.
- Also, as of November none of us died before we got old.
